Thing 2

It's true--finding time to do anything means making a choice, deciding to make time to accomplish something. It's probably true for many of us that we know some of the 2.0 terms and concepts, but not enough to really understand them. I'm hoping these exercises will get me out of my comfort zone by trying out some of these tools.

Its a bit of a struggle to keep current, to try new things, to use new technology in our work and personal life. Some of our library users, especially the younger set, will take such changes in stride and even welcome it, but how do we introduce and encourage the rest of our customers? Change isn't always easy or fun; it can be hard on some of us. But change is a given, it's always there and there is no stopping it. Our job is to be aware, study and think about it, and adapt or adopt what works for us in any given situation. Maybe not everything will work out, but surely some of it will for each of us. So---here we go.

I'm glad to have learned about Webopedia, a nice resource.
